Nerve wracking

I am in a limbo-like state these days, and I don't mean kind where you get to roller skate beneath a lowering pole. I've sent out my applications with all of there accoutrements and now I'm waiting for a graduate school to realize that I am that wonderful student that they've been waiting for since the founding of their Library Science program. *Sigh* I've gotten to the point where I've stopped telling people that I'm applying so I can avoid jinxing myself. (No worries, my family have set up a singing telegram service to tell those who haven't already heard. To the tune of Memories from Cats, I believe...Oy.)
Any-hoo, the only good to come from stress of waiting is that my dreams have really gotten wild. There's flying, wild conversations with inanimate objects, and other fancy stuff. My life is in a holding pattern for now, but the only thing scarier than that is what happens when I am accepted. Great Googa-mooga, let's not go there just yet, I'll have a whole other blog about that one. Until next time, I'll be here...waiting.

Does the clock seem to be ticking louder than usual? TICK TOCK TICK TOCK.... Might I suggest you tear that clock off the wall and fling it like a frisbee? That will kill at least 45 seconds of the waiting time. I'm sorry you're in limbo, but just think of all the possibilities!! Ok. That took another five seconds. Microwave popcorn would take up another two minutes and 30 seconds. Or you could call your big sister and let that chatterbox take up the rest of the afternoon saying "I'm so proud of you, Mary B.!!"

It's pretty nerve-wracking waiting to get accepted. But, some school will see that you're the wonderful student they've been waiting for...the one that will truly make their program the one to beat.

Don't sweat it...do some fun things to take your mind off of the bad things that creep into it. Might I suggest ice cream?
